The challenge.
Esther had a long-running Montréal lifestyle blog living on costly, dated WordPress hosting — slow to load and far too expensive every year. This was a revamp, not a fresh start: the brief was to keep the audience and the years of archived writing while shedding the bloat. She wanted something faster, dramatically cheaper to run, editorial in feel, and genuinely discoverable in search instead of buried.
What we did.
A type-led redesign on a fast static stack, migrated cleanly off WordPress to cut the yearly hosting bill to a fraction of what it was. Clean semantic markup and structured data give each article a real shot at ranking — and at being quoted in AI answers when people search her topics.
